One Bread, One Body - Reflection for November 1, 2012

SAINTS HERE, NOW, AND FOREVER

"Beloved, we are God's children now; what we shall later be has not yet come to light." –1 John 3:2

Today is your feast day, since you don't have to be dead to be a saint – but baptized. However, if you want this day to remain a day of celebration for you, you must not only be baptized but also live your Baptism.

To live our Baptisms means to be so immersed in Jesus' death and Resurrection that:

To be a saint is not necessarily to be in heaven now but in Jesus now – in His death and resurrection. If we are like Jesus while on earth, we shall see Him as He is in heaven (1 Jn 3:2). Celebrate All Saints' Day forever.

PRAYER: Father, in Jesus make me holy in every aspect of my conduct (1 Pt 1:15).
PROMISE: "They cried out in a loud voice, 'Salvation is from our God, Who is seated on the throne, and from the Lamb!' " –Rv 7:10
PRAISE: "Praise and glory, wisdom and thanksgiving and honor, power and might, to our God forever and ever. Amen!" (Rv 7:12)
